If I have an Xbox one x can I still play this? Or will it only play on the x s series? So confusing with these names and how some stuff is not backwards compatible

It'll still work on Xbox One, you should be good since it mentions xbox one as well.

For those of you who are looking at the poor rating this remaster got, you have to keep in mind that it was recently patched and works a lot better now. When it was released, Grove Street Games, who did the remaster, screwed this up big time. It was horrible, buggy, glitchy mess and stayed that way for some time which tanked the ratings. Finally I think Rockstar stepped in did it right and fixed all the issues. It was so bad that Rockstar even removed Grove Street Games from the title screen after the main patch.

In my opinion, the textures and lighting are noticeably better. If you are expecting to look like it was rendered in an Unreal 5 engine and compare it to a modern AAA title, you will be very disappointed. Graphically, I'd say it keeps the same charm as the original. If you are on the fence, check out the Xbox store front page and look at the screen shots and it will give you a good idea.
