A little more than sometimes they come up for, but if you need one this is a decent deal. Reminder: the 2/3yr add-on warranty for $5/7 is a no brainer if you're at all rough on these. I think I've in essence paid $7 for a couple of my last 8 controllers (3 are waiting to be used, two were stolen by the kid and are MIA, one died after the 2yr warranty so I'm now team 3yr .) Hopefully eventually these will be more consistently decent hardware, but until then. extended warranty FTW (Pro-tip: if you buy multiple from different places, write on the box/controller in sharpie where it's from and the date )

Im sure they're probably playing kiddie games like Minecraft and stuff. If u think Im making this up out of thin air, just Google it and also Google Microsoft controller class action lawsuit where thousands of ppl also have the same issue. Its not some secret or conspiracy to shill against Microsoft. Its a very well known issue

The warranty is from allstate? How does the process work from your experience?

it depends on where you buy from, Wallmart and ebay use allstate and amazon uses Asurion. I've claimed on allstate and they require you to ship the item to them (they provide shipping) then eventually (it's been awhile so can't swear to the turnaround time) they send you a check / gift card to the original purchase store. The only items I've not had to send somewhere have been a pair of (dorm size) Fridges where the Wallmart credit was issued immediately, and a set of Anker headphones where pictures where sufficient.

Worth noting that the extended warranties don't start until after the MS warranty period ends (90days if memory serves).

There have been some debates online that say Asurion is better to deal with than AS but I've not had any issues yet (knock wood).
