This time of year, i get tis nostalgic feeling when i think of online shopping. Do you remember years ago when places like Amazon had crazy black Friday giveaways? It was like first come first serve, you would have to sign in and wait for the exact time to push the button and hope you were one of the first 50 people or something like that and depending on the giveaway you would be able to purchase the item for real real cheap. Other sites did stuff like that too. I know Dr.Oz did one of those "first 50" to get through would get whatever they were giving away. I won 2 Kindles one year! I miss those days so much!

When Sephora first came on the scene, there had stackable codes too, 25.00 each.
I would LOVE for those days to come back!

I feel like people need these promotions to come back, now more than ever.
The Macys clearance dump at 80-95% off. The Gordon's gold jewelry clearance giveaway.. I still have 14kt gold that that I paid less than $30. Dell was a reseller's heaven. Wilson's leather BF clearance. Our old friend Overstock.com. JCPENNEY, (the $10 mailed coupons with rebates) Sears, Homedepot, Lowes doorbusters galore. I still have two of those $20, shopvacs still in box!
The Albertson's triple coupons on Black friday! We hit up ebay for multiples. Three baskets full of food for $50. We spent the day at different locations. The FW and SD grocery section was on fire! Just think if we had access to smart phones back then. CVS ECB bucks and Black Friday. Great memories.
Kohls has been good for cheap appliances. The year that Amazon had rebates on brand name 18/10 flatware, roasting pans, and crazy deals on enameled cookware. I even miss camping out in the dark for early deals. Long before the crowds and the buzz word Black Friday existed. Walmart, Service Merchandise.. Montgomery Wards.
Smartphone shopping from anywhere, deal comparison, etc. slowly eliminated that.
I get what you mean, there would've been a ton of mobile discussions, but ironically it's the smartphone that took away what we had back then.
Aside from the pushing and shoving as doors opened, it was a nicer world when people weren't glued to their phones 24/7.
