Per ChatGPT:
The forum user's claim is technically incorrect, outdated, and misunderstands gaming workloads.
The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is not "too weak" for an RTX 5080.
It will, in fact, outperform the Intel i9-14900KF in most games, especially at high framerates and high-end GPU configurations.
If your main use case is gaming — especially with an RTX 5080 — the 9800X3D is the superior choice.
If you also do heavy workstation loads (Blender, code compiling, video rendering), then:
Intel = stronger multithread
X3D = better gaming

For the price, you could always just buy the case you want, and sell the old case. Or if you have a case you like, just swap. Just a thought, I know it's not ideal for most.

Damn, the type of deal I was waiting on before biting the bullet with Andromeda Insights last week.

But, I hate Micro Center doesn't ship. My closest store with this in stock would take me 6+ hrs round trip...

Awesome deal. I think this is cheaper than if you build it. I bought same spec with skytech Azure 2, 2 months ago for 2.2k. No regrets. Not sure about PowerSpec and their reliability though.

I just pulled the teigger on andromeda 9800x3d with 9070xt for $1699I know this looks much better deal, but I won't cancel the order because I like the parts and finished look.By the way, they have 9800xd with 5070ti for $1899. They charge for shipping($49), but No tax.

The PowerSpec G759 deal for $300 more... worth the extra funds? That one has 64GB RAM, and the ASRock X870 Pro-A WiFi Motherboard. I'm not very keen on the differences with the motherboard. But, this system vs the $2,300 system... any comments or advise are greatly appreciated. Hoping to pull the trigger on one before they're gone.

I've been saving / planning on replacing my work PC for the last few years (It's a almost 7 year-old Lenovo Y20 i5 "gaming" PC with a GTX 1060). I upgraded the RAM and the graphics card (the max supported was a 1080) since I use it for design work (autocad, photoshop, amongst other things), and it has been completely reliable. It struggles with most of these more demanding tasks- but works great otherwise- and even runs PCVR (with min settings)- but does struggle and occasionally freezes.

I had this G757 in my cart to keep an eye on the price, so when I saw that it dropped from $2199 to $1999- I reserved it for pickup. I opened a Micro Center CC which took another $100 off the price, and the closest Micro Center to me (a little over an hour away) is in a reduced sales tax zone, so the tax was half of what it is where I live. The people who work at the store told me that they had a crush of people reserving them, and do not think stock will remain by the end of the day. They also told me that they do not expect the price to be any lower on BF or CM- but if it is- they will refund the difference since they have a 30 day price guarantee. Thank you, OP. I may have missed out on this deal if you didn't post it.

Man this is so tempting. My ideal 9800x3d build is sitting at $1400ish without a GPU. That said, I really don't need a GPU and don't want white.

This is cheaper than the Costco's MSI Aegis for $2199.99 on BF which I've been watching. Very tempting to pick this up. For sure a new case.

I agree- white is not my favorite. I'm also not too big on the silly lights on the inside of the case- but I think those can be disabled. I position the case so that it's not all that visible.

I just had $1699 for 5070ti with 9800x3d at Walmart. I upgraded from 3080.

I am so satisfied with it

But... it is So tempting to buy this with returning my 5070ti.

My concern is the As rock MOBO, which is killing the CPU.

I believe it will not affect to everyone with that MOBO, but still worrying honestly.

Any thoughts?

I wouldn't spend an extra $300 for 32GB more of RAM and a board that has potential issues with this CPU. This seems like a better deal unless you really need 64GB of RAM.
