Pioneer does not make its own TVs; instead, the brand name is licensed to other companies. In the US, the TVs are now manufactured under license by Compal Electronics using TCL panels, and sold exclusively at Best Buy, where they run on the Xumo TVOS platform, reports Consumer Reports and Light Reading.

If you are a videophile, you will probably nitpick every little thing. Most of these cheapo TV's are good enough for the average person if hooked up to better speakers and some minor picture tweaks.

I grabbed a 55" Pioneer last week and it's been awesome. If I needed this size I would have no issue getting it.

I bought the Pioneer 70" Roku TV one month ago. ($300). It's working great. I would buy another if the deal came around again.

Why would anyone purchase this over the cheaper QLEDs like the Walmart Hisense? This has more Thumbs up.
