When I checked the indoor area it showed a tag for the clearance price but there was no grill there.
The floor model had been moved out to the garden center and had a tag with something like $399 on it. There were two other boxed grills showing in inventory. They had to hunt around for them and we found them in the area they keep grills that are to be assembled.
If you are going to get this deal hurry. It looks like they are assembling them and then going to stick them out in the weather with no cover.
If your local store shows no inventory just go in and see if there is a floor model either indoors or somewhere outside.
Anyway great deal. I paid for one and had them store it at will call so I can pick it up later. Make sure to tell them NOT to assemble it if you don't want it assembled by them.
As always DON'T CALL Go in in person and check.
Home Depot is so disorganized. I am glad at least for an item like this their in store inventory seems to be 100% accurate. But the associates are usually clueless and price tags are frequently wrong.
The portable is kinda like its big brothers but sucks. Too small, temp control bites, not good at smoking. If I didn't have the 1050 I would be all over this. Just so its clear these are great smokers not grills

It didnt fit my VW ID4, so had to rent out their truck van. Their rental needs you to use "Clear" verification system & for some reason I was having issues with camera selfies processing & it locked me out. Thankfully had a friend who was able to input his number & start the process again.
