Seems like an incredible price for an 83 inch OLED. I wish I had the room for it and the money lol

Isn't this the normal price? same price at Costco and elsewhere. This isnt the 83" C5.

Did you not notice the difference between a B and a C?

Heads up, from what I can surmise online, the 83" B version of the OLED has the same panel as the C version, just slightly dim. Probably better longevity for it too

I recall making a similar comment about a TV model. Someone commented that all he would have to do is increase the TV brightness level.

I'm out of the loop on TVs now. Years ago, I gathered, from folks here on SD, that Samsung & LG were the better choices in most cases. Is that the same today?

This applies only for the B4/C4 series where both the 83"s had almost similar specs except the peak brightness. Unfortunately, for the 5 series, LG decided to differentiate C5 from B5 in all the screen sizes including the 83". C5 is a notch higher than B5 in terms of processor, refresh rate, brightness, glare reduction, etc.

Btw, I bought a 83" C4 few months back and haven't regretted spending the extra bucks over B4.

Out of the loop too but from what I gathered for $1000-$2000 price range these LG OLEDs are the best. Also Samsung and Sony OLEDs too, depends on what you want. Read reviews, go to Costco, Best Buy or somewhere to see it in person.

I have a c2 65 that is plenty bright. Reviews say b5 has comparable brightness. So for me it would be enough. Very tempting.

Yup that's the organic part of OLED...it slowly starts deteriorating after manufacturing
You're lucky you got to keep it that long.... for most people it was a few years.
