The Jake Paul vs Tank Davis fight was cancelled sue to a civil lawsuit against Davis. What a bummer. I was looking forward to seeing what would happen but there are some serious allegations of domestic violence against Tank Davis.

UFC 322 is on Saturday night at Madison Square Garden. I've got JDM and Valentina. Both fights should be excellent. Islam is heavily favored but I think that the oddsmakers have it wrong. Islam is going up 15 pounds in weight and fighting the champ and toughest guy in the division. JDM is a much better boxer and I don't think that Islam can submit him. The women's fight is a pick-em. I have to go with Valentina because Weili is moving up in weight.

It's not often that you have 2 fights with 4 champs. This is a very good card. There are a lot of fights that I want to see. I want to see Kopylov smash Robocop. In his last fight, Robocop hit an unconscious figher and then got on the mic and praised God. Um, I don't think that God wants you to hit fighters who are unconscious. I wanted Robocop kicked out of the UFC but if Kopylov can smash him and end his career that'll work.

I watched Memoirs of a Geisha. Was that supposed to be great? Not much really happened. She was a Geisha.

The book was a big deal when it came out and was very collectible. I had a first edition so I went to the signing and the author talked about geishas in Japanese society. I don't think that I ever read the book. I just bought it for my collection.

Covert Affairs on USA was good, too. I didn't like it at first but it grew on me. White Collar was also interesting. It was about an art thief who works for the FBI.

Kiki's post about a creepy movie she saw got me to thinking about creepy rock songs. If I were going to make a creepy movie, Born on the Bayou by Creedence Clearwater Revival would be my song. It's always creeped me out. I can't understand what he's saying and to me it sounds like some very bad and sinister stuff. The music is creepy. too. I picture somebody coming after me with an axe or chainsaw. Don't get me wrong, CCR is a great band and Bayou is a great song but it totally creeps me out.

I'm still thinking about Hostiles. The movie was pretty good up until the end. It was so obvious what was going to happen. There was no way that he wasn't getting on the train. I don't like it when a movie tries to manipulate me like this. The ending would've been fine if he had got on the train without all of the drama and they headed off into an uncertain future.

Christian Bale looked a lot like Tom Selleck in this movie. I wonder how Christian Bale would've been as Seth Bullock in Deadwood. The weakest part of Deadwood was Timothy Olyphant's performance. Some people really liked how he played Bullock but I couldn't get into it. Christian Bale would've brought more personality to the role. Timothy Olyphant stood there like a statue. Deadwood is still a 10 but it can't be my pick for the greatest tv show of all-time with such a bad performance by a leading actor.

I've been watching Black Rabbit on Netflix. First night I watched almost 2 episodes and wasn't all that into it. Last night I finished the 2nd episode and watched another two and it's gotten much better. Jude Law & Jason Bateman are both really good in it.
