Decent coffee, but if you are like me and want a 16oz cup in the morning, its going to cost you about $3 in pods

Or you can make your own pods like I do with a refill kit. I recommend the Nessus seals over the Capmesso ones which consistently leaked coffee into the pod catcher of my machine for some reason.

Seems expensive now for what it does. 3 years ago, I bought a Bella brand espresso machine for like $20. It uses the original type pods and even came with a separate auto milk frother. Still works great.

If you're getting your coffee from a pod, it's not going to be great coffee anyway, compared to machines with whole beans, unless you use your own pods and beans maybe.

GREAT coffee, but I'm thiiiis close to returning mine because I don't like that you are locked into a closed ecosystem and the idea that I'm going to pay $3+ every day for each cup of coffee ain't happening.

That is the challenge with the Vertuo system. Locked into a $3 pod versus the original Nespresso pod which can be had quite cheaply for around 50 cents each. Trader Joe's carry the original line Nespresso pods but their brand. Amazon has their own Solimo for original line quite cheaply.

Get yourself a Moccamaster Cup-One instead. Made the switch after a year with Nespresso. With a proper grinder, you can get very similar brews.
