This is great for someone already on AM5 but for someone like me who has a 5600X and AM4 it ain't even worth upgrading to AM5 when DDR5 has skyrocket in price ($180 for 16 GB umm hell no).

7600X3D for $200 is the slickest deal. Pretty much a forever CPU if you're a gamer and not crunching the highest bitrate 4K RAW video or something similar on the regular

Dang this is a pretty good deal. I have the 5800X3D and I think I'm going to ride that cpu into the ground like a 1990 Toyota Corolla DX.

If you are getting just the CPU 7600x3d at 200$ is a great value.
If you are getting a CPU+motherboard combo I would recommend 7800x3d motherboard combo for 379$ instead of 7600x3d combo as its only 80$ more

If I put them in cart without the bundle, it still shows the bundle price. Does anyone know if I would be able to return just the motherboard later?

And I got 32GB of DDR4 RAM in 2024 for $30. What's your point, still a ripoff!!!

Awesome, they do price protection! Bought the 7600X3D two weeks ago, and they are refunding $30 over chat because I paid with AMEX (not sure why that matters). MC is fantastic.

Consider yourself lucky if you live near a MicroCenter 😉

If you're planning on buying a CPU I suggest you do it ASAP. AMD is reportedly raising prices on all their GPUs and CPUs by 10% tonight. You know, because memory prices. And they're greedy...

I go take a look at the 7600x3d bundle for $300. Click on the "add 32gb GSKILL memory to save" link. See that the RAM kit is $270. Close the tab with a sigh.

So MicroCenter says they do price protection remotely (without going into the store) if you buy with their credit card. But.... BUT! They don't do it for more than one payment, and guess what they consider more than one payment? A bundle! They count a two item bundle as *two* payments.

So much of MicroCenter's methodology seems hell bent on dragging you kicking and screaming to their store. It's ridiculous.

Add in $400 for 32GB FAST DDR5 RAM, and it gets expensive fast.

Just came here to upvote this post. Not that while AM5 CPU prices are headed for a potential price increase, DDR5 (and RAM in general) has already been on a rocket ride upwards that has generally made starting any system without RAM in hand difficult to justify as a slick deal.

Good luck!
