You can connect 4000 watts of solar to them via the input solar lines, but I think that's a bit of a misapplication, given what this is a really good at, unless you really want to do that.
20KWh is roughly 12-18 hours of useful backup power here in PA, including a 2.5 Ton AC running and technically durable enough to last 10+ years.
That also covers 97% of the outages here in my local area.
You can also choose to add a manual generator disconnect in between that 100 Amp feed and add-in a 240V 30Amp L14 twistlock inverter generator feed to the other side. 5000 watts of generator input power is the maximum for charging permitted. So you can either be main panel connected or generator feed connected, not both at the same time.
Configured like that you technically could run all day on the batteries, run the generator for a number of hours in the evening, to recharge the system and go silent for the night. Recharge again after everyone is awake with the generator...if needed.
Now the AC unit on startup will consume most of thw generator feed, but once the AC is up and running you'll still be charging 18-20 amps at 240V.
