6 kw batteries is $8000
Your better installing 12kw. Inverter and batteries
$2200 for each battery
$400 for each 400 watt panel I read you have to buy converter cable if you use other panels as flow does not use industry standard
You need also buy a getaway or smart panel as well to install on a house

$400 for each 400 w panel? I'm not sure where you're getting that number either. I got 10 x 405w for ~$1,300 (so $130 each), and you can find them new on fb marketplace for $100-$120.
And you don't need a smart panel, just get a 10 breaker transfer switch, and you're golden.
Of course, going on a DIY route would be cheaper, but not everyone can build those. This is a plug and play option that is ready to go out of the box.
I've been owning the DPU for more than 2 years now and never had any issue with it. I cannot vouch for the Delta pro ultra x inverter, but if it has the same reliability as the original DPU, then it's a winner.
One thing to mention though, sometimes early models have some flaws that they fix either via software update or in-house warranty claims.

Batteries are usually around what you're quoting, but are on sale almost everywhere for $1899. I just got one from Outbound Power for $1680 shipped and no tax.
No idea what you're on about with the panels, you can plug whatever runs dc 15a/500v into the standard MC4 on the input. I have the regular ultra and I use 400w bifacial panels I get from Amazon for ~$225 each.
There is no "Getaway" (?) or smart panel required, I installed a 50 amp generator inlet and it works fine.
I agree with the previous poster who said that one might be concerned about being a bit of a beta tester for a new product, but Ecoflow has many instances online where they've fix via software or replaced faulty early units, so I'd say go for it if one is interested.

Really wishing Anker, Bluetti or Jackery step up their larger output game.

I'm in the same situation, But figured it's not worth upgrading right now.
Trying to resist the $2,250 cost after tax credit.
I could probably sell the DPU inverter for a pretty easy $1,500-$2,000 making the final cost a few hundred bucks?????

Can you share which panel you've had success with from Amazon? That's a pretty impressive price for new!

DPUX and another battery is close to 5 grand (-30% tax credit). I should probably just stop trying to bankrupt myself
You are definitely correct. Some people just run to be the first to poo poo a deal and get everything wrong (and why??).

Thanks! They were $450 for a pair in the recent sale. Right now there is a coupon that gets them to $500 for two.
I have DPU w/ 3 batteries now.. so I would either have to use DPUX with just 2 batteries (leaving the third to use with DPU separately).. or, buy another battery, of course, so I have the correct even number under DPUX. Then get rid of the DPU.
