  • About the Deal
    • Must apply the listed promo code in cart for discount to apply
    • CrossOver is the easiest way to run many Microsoft applications on your Mac without a clunky Windows emulator; CrossOver works differently. It's not an emulator. It does the work of translating Windows commands into Mac commands so that you can run Windows software as if it were designed native to Mac
    • Limit one promo code per order
    • Offer valid while promotional code/offer last
  • Additional Details
    • CrossOver works with all kinds of software - productivity software, utility programs, and games - all with one application

Reminder that this is wine-based and that you can run windows software on Mac using wine directly without having to pay. Crossover is nice if you want the features it has, but it's definitely not required to do this type of task. Just an FYI for those who may not be aware.

Awesome deal. Bought one to play RDR2 and Witcher 3 on a Mac mini. Will also load some older games when I bought them on sale (AOE2, Batman Arkham series).

Awesome! I have been using it for years and they rarely have sales like this on their software.

This is a great deal. Not all apps work, but I've had great luck running a variety of games. I haven't seen any crashes, lag, or performance issues so far.

Does the software stop working after a year if you don't renew?

How good can a current year top-of-the-line Macbook Pro run the latest and greatest Windows games?

Excellent deal and in support of great software. Crossover has completely changed gaming on the Mac (there are many times when Wine/Whiskey aren't enough). I just finished Ghost of Tsushima on a 2021 MBP and gameplay was amazing.

Following up on this - VMWare Fusion for Mac is now 100% free since the Broadcom acquisition.

Can it run Windows intel vms on a Mac arm, though? I think you have to run arm version of Windows which may or may not itself be compatible with whatever Wintel apps (including games) you're trying to run?

yep - this is indeed a limitation (not even really a vmw thing, it is more of how ARM and x86 are different physical architecture thing and the translation/emulation layers aren't there yet).

What features does it give over Wine?
