They haven't retailed for $80 a piece in several weeks since the restock. The FF6 deck is like $35. The FF7 deck floats around $55-60, and that is the most expensive one. This is a pretty soft deal at around $40 for each.

If I had friends who would split this 4 ways I would totally consider it. With these retailing at like $80 each they are finally more of a reasonable price.

Noob question, if I wanted to play a traditional game of magic can I take these cards and make a 60 card deck and just play regular magic (not commander)?

Yes, It won't be a good deck but you can use the cards for whatever.

It's pretty good if you specifically want it for the FF property. A much cheaper option is to buy the beginners box for avatar that retails for $35. I guess you should keep into consideration if you want to go into the collecting aspect more than learning to play it.

If you purely want to learn to play it first, just download the MTG app. It's free and it does a really good walkthrough of the game.

It's playable, probably needs upgrades more than the other 3 tho.

I would not recommend that course of action. If you just want to play kitchen table MTG, buy the starter kits. It's like $20 for 2 decks.
