Need for Xmas, but S&S delivery is after Xmas. Decent price without coupon /S&S, so ordering some anyway.

You can always move the date to be immediate prime shipping at a < 5 item discount to allow the coupon to apply. Then just cancel the subscription after it ships

I wasn't given the option to choose "Need item sooner?" or I'd have done that. I'd have to change the date of all of my S&S items, and that date would remain until I changed it back. I like my current delivery date, so just went with the regular discounted price. I'd have handled it differently on a higher priced item, but at this price range, it's no biggie.

BTW Several S&S items ordered last week were shipped immediately, when I'd have preferred to get them later with my regular delivery. Never did find out why.
