^^This. You can get away with an average espresso machines but you need to splurge on a good grinder. If all you make are milk-based drinks it's not such a big deal.

That's a heck of a find. I still feel lucky for snagging one of the blue ones on Amazon during a flash sale for $330. No matter what the color of the device is, it can make solid espresso.

I'm plus 10x to this. If you don't get a good grinder you'll have mediocre espresso at best. I switched from a Baratza Virtuoso (~$200), which is solid for pour-over/drip, to a Miicoffee/Torin DF54 (~$230) and the difference is truly night and day. Same coffee beans I've been using makes far better espresso now.
