At $18 these are probably fine, but I can guarantee you that nobody has ever paid that $41 MSRP

They sell these at harbor freight for $2.50 a piece. I've used them for years. I think they're better than these because they have more mounting points. Anyway price works out about the same I guess but if you don't need a whole 12 pack I'd just get a couple from HF

Rail systems are a pain. To add more hooks I just need a wall stud. I don't need to purchase and put up more rails.

Me too but this one looks like a pain to mount each single hook vs a rail system.

I have a new garage and need to set up something. Is there a product you recommend me to get started with setting up?

Invest in something like ProSlat wall so it's configurable and adjusts to meet your needs. I did two 4x8 panels in my garage and wish I did it sooner

True. They're a pain *and* an extra added expense over something like this, but if you're going to live in your house for 10+ years, the convenience of a rail system and the premium look to your garage is totally worth it.

If I buy rails from Home Depot, find studs and put it.. is that all what I need?

There are many with "Amazon's choices" for same price range with more hooks... just fyi...

https://a.co/d/992NUdb

https://a.co/d/aIPtEJY

these two are just an examples... I found many with 20 hooks, 18 hooks etc in range for $16-$20

May all made by same "company" in China... so take a look... I don't think one with 1000 reviews and onw with 200 reviews make any difference

I agree with the suggestion to buy individually if you don't need all 12. I bought this a year ago and have only used 3 so far but the hooks in this deal are so much better than the Harbor Freight set in both appearance and quality.

If you have a shed, and if that shed has any studs without hooks, then you probably need more hooks.
