This thing sucks. There is no backlight on the keys, and that "white" font in the pictures is not white at all. It's more gray, and impossible to see in dim conditions because there is not enough contrast. It also has a "feature" that nobody ever wanted, that being the automatic lock. You have to cancel the timer in order to unlock the door, so if you are pausing your cook to stir something, you have to remember where you left off and key it back in.

Maybe this is a weird question but how do the express start buttons work? Does it start right away or is there a delay for the times you want to push other buttons? For example, if I press 1-2-3-start will it start cooking for a minute and 23 seconds or will it just do one of the express cook times? Like I said, maybe a weird question, but I'm weirdly particular about how I want the things in my life to work.

The door push button is the first thing that goes after one year of regular usage.

123 Start will immediately start cooking for 1:23. There's no sensor features on this one, just pre-programmed times for weight.

Not sure, but pretty much just the face looks different. Function is still the same.

What do you guys think about the Toshiba EM131A5C-xx for $109.99 with sensor (size and wattage aside)? in other words is the one with sensors worth 21.00 more (I heard that sometimes they don't work like they advertise they should)? I also heard very good things about the panasonics with sensors but obviously panasonic is more expensive (not very good things about their ease of use though). I was inclined to buy the Kenmore for $60 from target, but the Toshiba would fit and look nicer in my kitchen.

I'm guessing these are electrically child-locked? Meaning, power goes out, the child-lock reactivates? Annoying AF!!!
