for NAS users
who here left this on past the 180 days and does some writes to it daily.
Trying to figure out if this hdd is a bottom of the barrel , 120TB writes a year
I mean this is my own experience but in my current rig, all the Seagate drives have failed as u can see using it's own software diagnostic tools, where the WD and Hitachi drives not to mention all my SSD are still running fine
The 8TB drives which is one of the failed drives was prone to high failure rates supposedly, so don't know if they got any better since have avoided them since had so many failed drives from Seagate. Just looking at the reviews on the Newegg page for this don't look like they got any better most of the comments seem to be DOA drive or failed after few months
