Weird. I have almost 40 of them, have had most for 4 or 5 years, some closer to 10 years, and I've never had one fail. Then again, I use them all on rotation, but they easily sit for months between uses.

That's a known issue with Ryobi, software is programmed in the batteries to shut it off and brick the battery if you don't use it for a long time. Best to try their slow charger to try to revive them.
It's the same for many Lithium batteries, my eBikes manuals say to store 80% and don't go below 20% during long term storage. I had to open up my Xiaomi Mi electric scooter and Ninebot Hoverboard and trickle charge via DC Power Supply.

Wow OP this is an incredible deal.

I mean the 2 6ah HP batteries are normally around this price alone. So you're basically getting the 4ah batteries for free.

I really want the 6ah batteries but am already swimming in 4ah. Must resist....

Do they show up as different SKU's in the cart? If so, maybe buy set and return the 4's.

One SKU, so can't split.

damn... seeing you guys got so many batteries... is it that hard to sell the extra off? kinda scared to buy now haha
I'd sell the 2x 4Ah batteries for $50 each . Then you keep the 2x4 HP Ah and 2x HP 6Ah for $100. You're welcome 😎👍

NO ONE will buy standard 4AH batteries for $50 each ... Maybe $30 would get bites

what is the best deal to buy the cheapest Ryobi battery? I need for inflator tool.
If you have other 18V or 20V systems, an adapter will work for the inflator. Would be careful about using adapters though with high current draw tools.

OK i bought it but damn they need to get rid of the stem on the battery and just make it flat like everyone else. Then sell adapters for backward compatibility if needed.

They did, on the 40v ecosystem. I consider that an admission of a better packaged product.
