Not DC motor like the old ProLine 7qt model. That model is noticeably quieter and more powerful than the 6qt bowl lift. However this is still a step above the 6qt with much improved gearbox and motor setup despite still being AC powered. The price also seems pretty decent. And if it's like the non-refurb model it should come with stainless steel mixer blades which is much better than the old nylon coated ones.

I have owned a Kitchenaid since 1991, and have bought two mixers as refurbs from eBay, my last purchase was directly from Kitchenaid eBay.
Buying from Kitchenaid eBay always includes the basic was whisk, paddle, and dough hook. It's possible something else might be included, depending on the model.
There is no difference in the motor or mixer body of KSM55, KSM60, or KSM70. The refurbished models would be referred to RSM55/60/70. The only difference is bowl size, the whisk, paddle, and dough hook will work the same with each bowl size.
I also have the Professional 600 KP26M1X. The KSM 55/60/70 actually performs better in my opinion, it's quieter and requires less scraping of the bowl. Power isn't an issue, and how they rate power isn't reality of what happens when you use it.
Mostly, Kitchenaid is just selling the same mixer the way a dealership would sell a car that has the Dave stuff under the hood. Leather vs Cloth Seats, "Premium" vs Standard Floor Mats, "Premium" Wheels vs Standard. Certain colors may only be available with the 55 vs the 60, or a certain color is only available through Williams Sonoma, QVC, or Crate and Barrel.
If you get a deal on the 55, you can separately purchase a 7 quart bowl on Amazon etc. Get your best deal on the mixer itself, and if color is important to you, make that the primary decision of which refurb to buy.
