Seems like great price for the capacity but the comment in previous thread is not very inspiring so I didn't pull the trigger yet. For those interested, see the comment here: https://slickdeals.net/f/18763579-34-qt-super-large-air-fryer-oil-less-air-fryer-toaster-oven-combo-with-pizza-warm-broil-toast-bake-air-fry-5-functions-black-76-89 Any additional input on this model would be welcome as I am still considering it. I am also considering this one which is smaller capacity but seems potentially better: https://slickdeals.net/f/18865924-24l-gourmia-french-door-6-slice-digital-toaster-oven-air-fryer-w-probe-control-57-free-shipping?p=180576835&sort=newest#commentsHeader - I have never owned an air fryer so I want to be sure to get a good one to start with.

Same situation as you and I know I'm going to buy one this weekend, but there's so many models and mixed reviews, it's hard to pull the trigger. I wanted the biggest one possible for an oven replacement but I'm beginning to think a 25 qt model is as big as they can go reliably and that they will take too long to heat up and leak too much heat on the larger 34-45 qt.

I understand where you're coming from, but air fryers come and go don't think too hard .

That being said this might not be the best for a first impression. Stick with a named brand one, it would suck if a poor first exp puts you off on the appliance altogether. It's one of the most used appliance in my household.

If you bake pizza (frozen or fresh) unfortunately in most airfryers they do not have a bottom element so you can't get a crisp pizza under crust like an oven. I'm trying out the gourmia pizza oven with air fry feature for that reason.

*Edit looks like this has bottom elements according to the description

The other thing is, airfrying depends on hot air moving through the food, so just because you can fit a ton of fries in it, doesn't mean it'll turn out good because the density prevents good even circulation over all surfaces.

Good point. Needs a blower to get the circulation. Does this have one?

Also it's nice to have the capacity to fit a 12" pizza or a whole chicken, but I wonder if you pay a penalty in warming/cooking times when all you need is a couple of toasts?

It does have a circulation fan. Here it is for reference, snagged it at a Target outlet for under $60:

Buy a toaster instead and save your unwelcome comment

Yes a good blower always improves my circulation 🤣.

If it's labeled as an air fryer then it has one or it's a scam label. Air fryers are just more intense convection ovens.

Airspace vs speed to heat is an immutable law.

ETL or UL certification.

Then of course, the concern about fires.

For a non name brand, better consider unpluging it when you are away.

For 62 bucks, some corners have to be cut in wiring. Not that a 200 dollar cannot catch fire.

Plus the metal internals as solid stainless steel or alloy.

Electrical plus high heat =means think quality.

The other one, 1700 Watts.
