This might seem dorky but I really appreciate you people posting these and making comments. The comments on the deals are as good as the deals. It's nice of you to take the time to share and you might not realize how helpful you are being!

I think this is a pretty good deal. I'm not sure I've ever seen the brushless version get down to this price.

PayPal has a 20% cashback promo if you use buy-now-pay-later (the every-2-weeks thing), so in theory you should get $20 back in points that can then be converted into cash. It does say that a soft credit check may be run when setting it up, but mine said it was pre-approved for $1500 and it went through despite my credit being frozen at the big 3 bureaus.

Not technically a "fuel" model or to be confused with the more powerful 1/4" collet die grinder m12 fuel tool.

How so? It uses the Fuel batteries and is brushless. I thought that's what made it a "Fuel" model?

The fuel models specifically say fuel. There is m12, m12 brushless, m12 fuel, then the revised generations of each.

This is the best version of this tool. They don't make a fuel version of it. Brushless vs non brushed.

This tool is relatively new. There is currently no M12 "fuel" rotary tool. There is the brushed version and the brushless version (this) and I can tell you this brushless version is much better than the brushed. If you have the brushed version then you know how well it works, this new brushless version is simply stronger and bogs down less. I haven't seen this tool go on sale yet so this is a very good price at the moment. If you need, don't hesitate to buy and use Paypal pay later for 20% back in points/cash!

Was going to say the same thing. They don't make a fuel version of this. I've had the brushed version for years and use it quite a bit. I'd buy this but I doubt my old one will ever quit.

i had to cut tile backsplash to fit a new microwave. I burned out a dremel cutting that stuff, so i bought this. This rotary tool is way stronger and beefier than the dremel. Its become one of my favorite tools.

I bought the m12 installation driver from eBay that has 20% Off using 4 month PayPal promo and do not see hard pull from credit so far

I have to 2460 version of this tool. Is the fact that that this is labeled "Brushless" enough for me to purchase? I do plumbing and small projects around the house so would this be beneficial enough to give trade for this tool? I only read the first comment in the HD reviews and it criticized the increased girth which was problematic for that consumer.
What else can this tool be used for that I would need the extra power? Thanks in advance for any advice.

Can anyone comment on how this compares to a ~20 year old Dremel 8000? The Dremel still works fine but I've always felt like it has been a little low in torque due to how much it slows down whenever a load is applied, sometimes to the point of bogging down entirely. I've never used any other rotary tool so I don't have anything to compare it against.
