Reviews are pretty solid on this model: https://www.tomshardware.com/revi...10-proGood write speeds for large files.

I can't speak for this exact model (X10 Pro) but I've been rocking the regular non-pro Crucial X10 8TB variant for the last 9months or so and its been absolutely rock solid and performing amazingly. Easily hits 800MB/s+ transfer speeds on all my PCs (sometimes even peaks to 1.1 GB/s on my newer Amd HX 365 laptop) and sustains it for well over 10minutes+ even for my large file copies.

It's easily over taken my previous favorite drive (Samsung T9) as its both smaller, doesnt get hot at all and is available in the larger 8TB capacity. I even double dipped on a second one recently when it dropped down to 385.

This drive is very fast for what it is, including sustained writes that exhaust the cache. Probably most important to note that most Thunderbolt controllers in existence don't support a 20Gb/s mode, so this and any other USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 drive will run at 10Gb/s in a Thunderbolt port. For maximum speed / compatibility, your best option is a USB 4 enclosure and your M.2 drive of choice. But this thing is TINY in comparison.

I meant user reviews.
40% are 1 or 2 stars, most seem to be citing drive failure.

Is this shuckable?

Edit: seems like the x10 nonpro aren't so this likely isn't either 😭

Fast speeds cause heat. Drive not feeling hot to the outside means heat getting trapped inside. it will cook the drive causing premature drive failure.

I had an X9Pro. It crashed. They replaced with an x10 Pro.

I have Mac OS. Yeah, I recommend always backing up. Use this if youneed fast access, but if you are not needing the files ive, back it up especially if you are using MacOS. When my X9 Crashed, I did a search online and on reddit and I'm not the only one and it seems to happen more with MacOS people for some reason.
