In fact. Even the manufacturer only inflates original price to $895. Another reason people can't be trusted on Slickdeals. I miss the days when people could be trusted.

I picked up one of these a month ago. Really liking it so far. Mine didn't come in the original box or with the full instructions, so you'll need to find those online. There are lots of very similar models -- the one that I was sent doesn't have a "Long" drink button like in the photos, but you can always select Coffee and then stop it part way through.

You'll probably want to increase the water temp setting to max and then dial in the grind setting (only adjust one step at a time while it is grinding for a shot). Beyond that, toss in some decent beans and have fun.

Debating between this model & the Dinamica refurbished by BuyDig. Difference is $40 more than the Evo.

Seems like the internals are the same & tho the Evo is the newer released model. (Brew group, burr grinder and water reservoir size).

Dinamica sounds like it has a stronger ice coffee program and a digital interface with more user profiles. ChatGPT suggest less issues with the Dinamica but likely varies based on location of reviews.

Anyone else debating between these two models?

Delonghi uses the same internals but higher end models that have 5 selectable intensities (rather than the 3 on this evo) can supposedly do a higher dose. The Dinamica looks like a more capable machine and worth the price difference.

How has the maintenance been? Does it require buying any proprietary parts (e.g. filters)?

I just did a bit of research and went with the Dinamica (model ECAM35020B) for $280. Neither of these are superautomatics (this Evo model doesn't have auto frothing either, but HouseHoldGear offers that Evo model for $375).

Though I'd probably prefer a superauto, I got the better machine for $300 incl tax, vs paying $400 for the Evo model with the autofroth. People suggest that learning how to froth the milk separately produces better drinks than the superautomatic machines (and some people don't even want milk drinks).

So while some people might prefer the convenience of the superauto Evo with frother for $375 from HouseHoldGear, I would not recommend THIS deal ($320 without auto frother). I think the Dinamica in black for $280 is an amazing deal + best option. There is also a stainless steel version (model ECAM35025SB) for $384.

For any noobs like myself, this chart breaks it down well. https://www.crateandbarrel.com/as..._Dec23.pdf

The 4 with the milk tanks are superautomatics, this deal and the one I'm recommending (Dinamica) are semiautomatics- the Dinamica semi in black is cheaper than the Evo semi which is wild.
