The QM6K and QM7K seem to be the sweet spot right now ($1500 and $2000 on sale currently). The $999 98" TCL TVs seem to not have a good picture quality, and the 98" QM8K, while arguably the best non-OLED available currently, needs to come down under $3000 before I'll pull the trigger.
It comes down to which of those two fit better in your budget and included items from the merchant (like free install).

Anyone have experience with this TV? I have a lounge room upstairs that I've been converting into a theater room, currently use a projector but been debating between a 100" tv or a UST projector.

I've seen the UST at Best Buy and it looks dull. 98" is the way to go and prices right now are around $999.

I have Amazon money so Im deciding between this and the 98QM6k. Im coming from a 6yr old 75in bottom of the barrel LG. It will be a big jump either way. I would like to just save the $400 difference. We shall see how low the 98QM6K drops.

Anyone thinks this TV will drop lower on Friday?

Edit: 98QM6K dropped to $1600. I'm not picky when it comes to TVs so I'm thinking I'll save the money and go for this.

I've had an Epson LS1000 and 110" ALR screen 3 years now and aboslutely love it. However, we repalced our livingroom TV w/ a 75" TCL QLED ($400 from BJ's Wholesale included free tank of gas no less) and it looks FANTASTIC just playing streaming content (havent had a chance to hook up my UHD player to it.... Think Im afreaid I'll end up watching movies in the livingroom instead of my dedicated home theater lol). Seriously considering doing a nice 100" TV somedya when I need a new projector... Maybe they'll have 110" at reasonable prices then too.

All about size. What size screen for your projector?
I've got a 152" screen I built with white spandex for maybe $100 in materials plus $600 for a refurb 4k projector. You can't get that size for that price without projecting.
I'll probably replace the 75" TV for a ~100" this BF.

Just general comment about these big screens. Simply because of the size any quality issues are much more noticeable unless you are 15' back. You need a better quality screen with bigger ones if you will be anywhere close.
