I think someone said they got fake one but when ask how they know it is fake, they didn't reply. And many said they got genuine Apple charger using the steps below to check.

Here's how to tell if a MacBook charger is a genuine Apple charger. Not sure if fake one able reproduce to this detail yet.

here's how to tell if a MacBook charger is a genuine Apple product.

Plug the charger into an outlet and connect the MacBook to it. Then, hold down the OPTION key on your MacBook and click the Apple logo in the top-left corner of the screen, then System Information…

From there, click on Power in the left-hand column. If the charger is genuine, this will show the manufacturer as Apple Inc, along with information about the charger, including the hardware and firmware versions. (System Information > Hardware > Power > AC Charger Information)

If the charger is not a genuine Apple charger, then you will see a lot less information. (shown in the attached pictures).

This screen also shows the output wattage of the charger, which is a good way to check if the charger you have is delivering the power it promises.

Someone ordered in previous deal said their System information show the same info as genuine Apple charger. Again, not sure if non-genuine Apple charger able to reproduce this kind of System information yet but if it cost them more money, probably not worth it for them to do it when most people probably don't check for it or by the time people found out, they already stop selling them and move on.

Is this so cheap just because it's an old fat one trick pony?

Best deal ever on this top quality high power adapter. I'd be more inclined to call it a workhorse rather than a one trick pony. Can handle pretty much anything you throw at it, from laptop to phone and tablet charging.

Was a Frontpage Deal 3 weeks ago at $50.

Sorry I missed that you already posted it, pennysave.

It looks like it supports pd outputs of up to 5V/3A, 9V/3A, 15V/3A, 20V/4.7A, 28V/5A. At the very least, any that has usb-c should work or if it support 15w fast charging.

Sorry, I'm not so technologically savvy. I'm just wondering if you're such a thing as too much power going into an iPhone. As fast as it would charge, is it not healthy for the phone?

This is one of the ONLY chargers that will do 140w consistently and won't throttle due to temps. Good deal if your device supports / can use all of the power

The device will only take as much as it can handle. There is a handshake between device and charger, via the cable.

Your iPhone automatically regulates charge amperage to a specified maximum, regardless of the charger's high output capability. With a charger like this any iPhone will take its max rate only without issue. Phone charging at lower than max rates has been linked to longer battery life, which is something to consider.

Don't worry, this won't be too powerful for iphone. iPhone controls how much power it can take in while charging. This power brick rating is what maximum power it can provide and it's up to the receiving device to take whatever it wants from this.

Exactly why I'm buying this, want a second one to keep it at my office so I don't have to lug such a bulky charger around haha

Question for anyone who is knowledgeable - will the charger work with non-apple devices?
