Got this in last year same deal. The cord is cut short to way too small length. Their previous generations (same model) had super long cord (standard length for years) but this model they cut cost. You need to carry extension cord with this vac. Note it.

I have found that the quality from Walmart is cheap. Amazon models are better quality.
