I have 289 passwords perfectly locked in my memory. Why do I need this?

Lots of reasons. Just one: If something happens to you, a trusted contact can access your accounts. Your memory alone doesn't offer redundancy.

I've found that nothing can beat BitWarden for my uses.

I tried to add this to my active account and it did not work. I do like Keeper and Dashlane. Both work great so I will accept a deal on either.

I used Lastpass for years until they were purchased by a private equity group and went all Wall Street greedy. After researching suggestions, I settled on BitWarden a year or two ago. I have had zero issues and it integrates seamlessly into Chrome. If I save it on my phone, it's immediately available in the PC app and vice versa. I've really got nothing bad to say about it.

That's because all their 289 passwords locked in memory are the same password!

Since it also has to work with 289 different places, the password uses the most basic characters to avoid some of them not working on other places! Beat the system!
