I thought Tech Steve did a great comparison on these:

They are pretty similar, I think they are both good honestly. If it were QM7 vs U8 or U7 vs QM8, it's a different comparison. But they are pretty neck and neck. I'd do either. I'm waiting for that 98/100 deal. If it doesn't happen this year I'll wait.

Hope they do a price match. Bought this from this seller not even 2 weeks ago.
EDiT: they refused to price match. kind of annoying but it looks like this is going back and rebuying to save $71

I just purchased from this seller a week ago same tv for $939. Is it possible to get a credit for the difference since it's now like $140 less than for what I purchased it?

Edit: Spoke to eBay and they advised that seller can provide a partial refund for the difference ($71). Reached out to seller and this was their response: "Feel free to follow the return instructions and have a great day."
Some ppl just love to work harder than smarter 😅.

Been waiting and hoping for the TCL qm7k to go back to $550 as it did a few weeks ago at WM, but this is definitely tempting. Sale is good until Dec 1, so I'm going to wait until then.

sorry, I'm just kinda saying "that" in a non-specific sense- there's no specific deal I'm aware of beyond what's on this site right now; but if one comes around I'll definitely be tempted. right now they've got the qm8k for 3,000 ($2,800 at Nebraska Furniture Mart) and the u8 for 2,800. you can see these all on slickdeals now. A little lower and I'll be tempted. Let's see how low it goes!
