Mixed reviews with most of the negative reviews centered on the solar panel and missing the recordings of important events.

They really need good sun exposure otherwise you will have to take them down and charge them

Yeah, I moved mine and it's fine from march-sept, but the rest of the year in the mid Atlantic region, I have to take down once a month and charge.

S330 can only connect to a homebase. It can't connect to your home wifi.
I had to buy some extra network equipment to wire the garage for the basestation to be close enough for where I wanted the S330.
S330 is 4k, S220 is 2k.

S220 has local storage 8GB. It connects to your home wifi or the homebase. Smaller battery but I've run both and the S330 will run out battery way before the S220 in similar conditions. Mainly becuase of the 4k. I've had bricked S330 where resetting or charging via a USB cable it won't do anything. Warranty returns gave me a completely new unit once they recieved the dead one. I've bought directly from Eufy (mainly to get cash back sites).

I have 4 of these at the boundary of my 1.5 acre property. They need sun, but you can but external solar panels and have them in a separate orientation/location (I bought a 4 pack of cheap 6w panels off china for $32). I've been pretty happy with them for cost and ease of setup.

Mine charges fine in the summer, but fall and winter it lasts about a month before I have to charge it.
I bought an 8w solar panel with a 10 foot cable that lets it charge from that, and since I go that, battery now sits between 95-100% all the time.
It is decent overall, but my wired cameras are 10x better at image, wireless connectivity, and capturing movement.
I am not sure I would rely on it for a primary/only camera. As part of a system with overlaping coverage it is fine (which is what I use it for, my shed blocks a large portion of my backyard from my hardwired home mounted cameras). At $50, it is a good deal if you are looking to add a wireless option to your Eufy setup.

I have one of these which is in a prime sun spot. In the summer it only does not get direct sun during the early morning and late evening (outside of cloudy weather). During the summer, with the camera detection set to its most sensitive (meaning the worst conditions for battery life) my camera manages to hold at 95-99% charge with solar. In the winter, with less sunshine per day on top of just more cloudy days, if I kept the same detection settings it would be dead within a month. Around 30% off I turned off ALL motion detection and recording (basically making this camera only good to peek at a live view from time to time and nothing else) and it seems to be steadily climbing 1-3% per day in charge.

I would say for any use case, especially not mounted in an area with direct sunlight, the purpose of this S220 cam is more so to just use as a backup camera to view the live feed on a couple times a week. If you want something to record consistently you either need to get ready to charge it regularly outside of summer months (if you live in a cold climate) or just get a camera that can have power ran to it.

Which wired model do you have that has 10x the image quality?

"10x image, wireless connectivity, and capturing movement", not just image quality.
So no, I do not have a camera with 10x image quality.
I have a camera with night images that are sub par, and the lens fogs up a lot. I can't connect fairly often to it, even though I have other cameras that are further from the router than this one (but are powered by wall outlet), and it does not register near as often as another camera pointed at the same area, but further away with lower sensitivity setting.
