It was trashed for being woke, but it's also a terrible game beyond those elements. It was supposed to be a live service game and they pulled it back late in their development so it's very grind, the graphics and monster designs are awful compared to previous versions, and the characters and story are very poor relative to earlier entries.

It's not the worst game you'll play, but it completely falls flat on expectations for the series, and is ultimately not worth your time when you look at what else is available.

It's not just "two minutes". The game rams it down your throat every chance it gets. Pronouns. Surgery scars. No male / female body types. Dialogue choices to talk about your trans journey. A whole character devoted to lecturing you about being non binary who you HAVE to affirm to get the best ending. And another character doing pushups for misgendering someone.
The game was clearly made with activism first and story last.

As someone who has played all previous DA games and generally has been invested in the series, I actually have enjoyed this game for what it is. I will heavily caveat that playing it for free through PSN impacts that quite a bit, but I wouldn't change my rating at $10. Once I hit 40, I stopped caring about deep lore, arguing about purism, or frankly even worrying about if a studio wants to go woke. After all, I'm just a dude over here. For a $10 game, it's an easy 8ish rating for me. At $60, that would've probably been a lot lower.

It was free on psn a few months ago. I didnt know anything about it. It was fun to play but quickly became repetitive. At times it was unclear what it wanted me to do next.

Overall I'd give it a 6/10.

Great game. It's a shame the woke stuff did what it did. It is very forced with one character. Worth $10 for sure. Prob only play it once tho. I got it with ps5 sub so it cost $10 a month that way.
