90% recycled plastic (polyester) 😵 I feel like scientists need to do an updated research paper to determine how "recycled polyester" compares to "polyester" in terms of hormone disruption in males. It's already clear that regular polyester lowers sperm count, but I feel like recycling polyester or recycled plastic has to be worse somehow but I'm not sure, only because of the fact that it's less pure as a result of the recycling process.

the current research linking polyester clothing to hormone disruption or sperm count reduction is extremely limited and not conclusive. The few studies that exist are older, small scale, and involve conditions that don't reflect normal wear. There is no good evidence that recycled polyester is worse, and no strong evidence that regular polyester clothing significantly affects sperm count in real world use.

There is no good reason to put these on a child! Just the fact that there is even a question about the fabric possibly being damaging would deter me from having a boy wear these. When he gets older if he chooses them for himself is one thing but while growing, I would always stick to cotton!
