I remember when I was looking at these things a while back they were saying the capacitors can blow up from heat. Like if you live in the south or extreme extreme cold just look into it. I may be wrong. I hope I am that way you can get it but I wanted to let you know

It allows the camera to finish recording and properly save/flush the last frames to the video when the power is cut (in case of accident, etc) so that you get a proper video file instead of a corrupted one.

The camera itself is crap though, there are hundreds of these floating under dozens of brands, low quality video, bad software. Just get a well-known brand like viofo if you need a dashcam.

It's the lithium batteries in some models that can blow up or just die from the extreme temperatures that can occur in the car. Super Capacitor is actually preferred in a dash cam.

Yes anything cheap is crap. Not even better than nothing.
