Not sure of the pros\cons to using oil as a drywall sealer for fresh work. I've always just thrown on a latex PVA primer\sealer and never had any issues. If the wall is fresh and clean, no sense in the extra headaches of working with oil (assuming you will be putting latex paint down).
I had heard that Killz is a good one for priming. It's strange that neither Home Depot or Amazon sells the "Standard" version, but they sell the other ones.
I guess I need to decide if I want to go more premium.Since I have no stains and no mold or mildew and no smells, the only downside to the cheaper "Standard" is apparently it will need more coats then some of the more expensive options, according to my AI chatbox:
