I have a bunch of points right now and could get $330 in BB rewards or $250 of Panera gift cards... I didn't realize the ratio would still be bad even after this "sale". FYI to anyone else considering this, depends how valuable using points at BB is for you I guess.

i've been trying to get the page to load since it was first sent out a couple weeks ago, and for some reason it just keeps spinning after entering login into..disabled adblockers, tried private windows, nothing. but yeah the normal redemption iirc is about half of what you'd get if you used them at best buy, pretty terrible

I don't understand this deal. 250 points equals $5 in Best Buy certificate. But I need 300 points to get a $5 Starbucks gift card? Am I missing something?

Yeah that Sbux gift card would normally be 500 points, so that's the sale. BB rewards points are always worth half for branded gift cards when redeeming at BB, so this makes it only slightly better. It makes sense when you consider that you only get a max of 3% back when spending outside of BestBuy (grocery stores, before bonus offers), so your points can't really cost more than 2.5 (normal redemption rate) to them.

If you plan on buying anything at Best Buy, you're better off using the points for Best Buy rather than this "deal," as the conversion sucks even with 40% off. This is only a decent offer if you don't intend on buying anything from BB again, which is kind of silly if you've gone enough to bank a decent number of points.
