I've used this in the past. I swear by it. I purchased a short bed high mileage Chevy pickup truck that was used by utility company. You could always hear the valves tapping. I changed the oil religiously with a good filter every 3000 miles and I added this marvel mystery oil with each change. I have never used it before. Well, over a period of time, the motor got completely silent. I ended up selling that truck with no problem. It ran great. I was really impressed with this stuff. I also think the oil filter change at every 3000 miles had a lot to do with it. But I would highly recommend this.

I had a sticky fuel injector that was causing white smoke out of my exhaust after sitting idling for awhile. Reeked of gasoline. After a few fill-ups with this in the gas tank, it cleared right up.

Price per oz so close it's easier to dump the small bottles with long necks in rather than guestimate with a funnel. If it was noticeably cheaper I'd break out the funnel for sure.

I use this when out of Stabil in my mowers, snow blower and generator in New England. Works great to avoid bad gas

I understand it's main ingredient is mineral oil & I suspect it has a bit of peppermint oil in it based on the scent. It definitely dissolves petroleum deposits & as we know, like dissolves like...

Project Farm did an episode where he tested various fuel stabilizers. Stabil and Mystery Oil were among them. After 20 months, only the Stabil fuel mixture could be lit with a lighter and even then just barely (IIRC, it scored a 3 out of 5). None of the others were flammable.

He also put a chunk of pot metal (the type of metal small engine carbs tend to be made of) in a stabilized fuel mixture and let it sit on a shelf. I don't remember how long that test was...it was longer than 20 months. Only the one in the Stabil mixture came out clean. All the others were corroded and pocked.

He did one other long-term test but I no longer remember the details other than all of the products performed about the same.
