From reading the information on the link, it is two nvme slots that are gen 3 with one lane dedicated each. It's not all that important because these slots aren't meant to be giving you top end nvme speed, but to clarify, it is two slots at gen 3 X1 (1 PCIe Lane), not gen 3 x 2. Your maximum theoretical throughput on these would be around 985 MB per second.

That being said, it's nice to actually be able to find this information immediately. It took me months to learn what the slots were inside the Ugreen Nas. By the way, I think the ugreen 2800 would be the better purchase.

things like setting up a plex server is as easy as downloading an app on this unit VS going through some 10 step process that may or may not work on the Ugreen. the software on these QNAP units is well ahead of whatever ugreen uses and/or more user friendly. Whether that matters to a potential buyer it's going to come down to use case

Agree with everything you said except the "may or may not work". Once you set up a docker container with Plex correctly, it works great. But a lot of people don't want to deal with docker and to this day people complain about Ugreen not offering a Plex app (they do have a jellyfin app). UGOS is very user friendly, but I can't compare it to QNAP since I don't have one. Since QNAP has been one of the main two nas providers for years along with Synology, I would expect their OS to be more mature, and a much larger catalog of apps. As you said, it's going to come down to use case.
Benefits of this unit over the Ugreen 2800 are a second ethernet port, more mature OS with more apps. Benefits of Ugreen 2800 are a marginally better processor, ddr5 vs ddr4, upgradable to as high as 32gb memory, almost $100 cheaper at the moment. Ugreen has a solid support structure but I suspect QNAP's is better.
