Got these the other day and they are so small. They don't get that warm at all. You got a couple from Walmart that are larger and more expensive but they do a great job. I'm a guitar player and play outside in the cold sometimes.

Got one of these last year, takes a bit of time to fully heat up and don't heat up all that much.
I don't think I'd buy this one again but they do work after a few minutes and keep your hands slightly warm 🤷🏼 ♂️
I bought a different brand this year that heats much faster and to a higher temp

Which one did you buy that is better? I recently got the UT5 model for this brand and I've been enjoying it, but it's my first experience with anything like this. I did see one at Costco, around $25 or $30 for a pair. Might pick them up to compare.

These seems to show up more often. Is there a use case for these besides taking room in your pockets/bag?

Presumably for people in cold climates...

If you don't need your hands heated then they have no purpose. If you're actually cold then slipping some hand warmers into your gloves could be quite useful.
