I can only compare Bose QC 1 gen and AirPods pro 2 as I own both. Fitment is very personal, some ppl like QC but for me AirPods are more comfortable. Bose sounds better for sure, but not by much. My friend who is very musical prefers Bose. Big problem with bose is connectivity. It is usually ok, but when it is not ok it's such a PITA. AirPods have much better case, connect faster, more stable, the microphone for calls is MUCH better. The way AirPods work with multiple devices in night and day, granted all my devices are apple. Noise cancellation is slightly better in Bose, but depends on what environment you're in. For biking for example Bose is really unusable because of the wind noise. All in all, I use airpods almost exclusively in my day to day life because of comfort and connectivity. I guess the current gen is very similar.

I have the airpods pro 3. I use an iphone for work and android for personal use. I've never owned airpods before now, and as I understand, the fitment is a little snugger with the AP3's vs AP2's due to the new foam infused tips. I have a pair of Bose QC3 over the ear headphones, and I'd say the sound isolation is on par with those. I am able to listen to podcasts while mowing the lawn or using a leaf blower, which is otherwise pretty difficult to impossible with my previous cheap earbuds. Just yesterday, I had a coworker at the desk next to me talking really loudly on the phone and was distracting me on my own phone call. His voice cut right through my over the ear logitech headphones, so I popped in my airpods and he was gone. Amazing.
You get a little more features and control when using the airpods with Apple products (of course), but they're still very capable on Android and all the main controls work just fine. And, as you mentioned, the device switching is fantastic - a huge step up from my cheapy earbuds that I used to use before where switching devices involved a repairing process. Instead of re-pairing, I just tell whichever device I've picked up to connect to them and they switch immediately.
I push my airpods pretty hard night and day. I wear them spinning, sleeping, in the shower. They do it all. One downside - I'm normally not a runner, but on one occasion I did take them out for a run, I did get some clicking feedback in my right ear. Sounds like it's a somewhat common problem having to do with the seal of your ear moving while running, etc. Some people have developed some workarounds that they say work.
All in all, I love them and give them a 10/10. There may be sales in the future that drop them down even lower than this, but these are such a life upgrade that they're not even worth waiting for sales.

I don't see that PayPal 20% cash back option for me. If I choose PayPal, it just gives me option to use PayPal credit or my cards on file.

I logged into my PayPal, went to the rewards tab, and activated the offer. Then I checked out at Walmart with PayPal, hopefully the 20% applies. Thanks for the tip!
