I think when you consider the cost of this vs. the cost of the Arc Ultra, this is the smarter purchase.. unless you're putting it in a room that's so big that the Ultra would benefit it more (but that's not most people).

Think about it this way... you're basically paying 2.75x cost for a product that is, maybe 10-20% better?

I own the Arc Ultra and the Arc is still very good. The Arc is larger than the Beam 2 and so it has a more full sound all around. And at only $399, it's an excellent deal!

i bought this last BF. It was $539 back then. At $399 even though the new arc came out, is a steal.

Disagree I had both sold the older arc. They're both great but the new one is worlds better. It's not about the money in my case I can afford the upgrade if you can afford the upgrade go with the ultra.

My living room + dining area + half open kitchen is about 15x30 ft all together and 1/3 of it is half enclosed kitchen/foyer, should I get the arc or spend more for the ultra? (I have no idea if this would be considered large and would be benefit from ultra) TIA

Did both sites confirm your points after your purchase? I used PayPal, but I didn't use the purple site. I wasn't sure if it would work, and I didn't want to miss out on 20% off.

I did both Paypal and Purple site. Paypal showing points pending and also got email from Purple site that they tracked my order. After 20% and 12% CB, this will be ~$300 for me
