50% sRGB coverage, according to the spec sheet, is pretty terrible for any video / gaming consumption. It's fine if you're just doing productivity work

That said, I might still take a flyer on this thanks to Costco's return policy
On paper that sounds bad, its is a low res non-HDR screen, so I'm not expecting much. But in real life did you find any reviews that its that bad? Thanks.

Great as a 2nd monitor for laptop. I use one as output for my digital microscope.

For using this in car (long drives), can it be charged from usb-C?
There is no battery in this so it's only powered by continuous power supply and nothing to charge .

Inclusion of the sleeve and full size hdmi makes this better than 90% of the cheap portable monitors out there. HDMI mini, which most budget portable monitors have, is fine and all if you always remember your cable or adapter, but having a standard port makes this way more useful and convenient.

I was looking at the acer one that Costco also has on sale but it doesn't include any sort of cover included. These things are fragile AF, and if you're actually taking this anywhere a cover is a must to avoid damage, so that just another $10 to add to the cost when it's not included.

I believe it depends on the membership type.
I have an executive membership and it did not have an expiration date, though I buy often enough that I always end up using it.
From my own experience in California, they reissued a lost certificate and once I had a $100 rewards, bought $30 of stuff and got the change in cash (I was expecting a gift card back to ensure I spend it all at Costco).

what a waste of time, a totally different use case for most.
From MSI product page:
"With just one Type-C cable, this portable monitor receives both power and display signal, making it incredibly convenient and clutter-free. Simply plug and play for a seamless experience wherever you go!"

if you usb c for power then you must the hdmi port for display.

There is only one usb c .So you either use it for power or display

I believe you are wrong. There are two USB-C. As someone said above, you can use one to power the device and the other USB-C to connect to you phone.

It does but if you use this for travel, I would still cut up one of those dollar store or Ikea plastic (PP) place mats to size to protect the screen, should be thin enough to fit inside the provided sleeve.
