I own a food processor, Ninja blender, and also until recently had an old blender with glass jug and blades at the bottom. I honestly don't see a point in this "food processor" attachment because it doesn't have any accessories that make food processor really useful. Also, while I like Ninja blender (it's powerful and all), I still used the old classic blender for pureed soup and mixing crepe batter or ice cream base until it died recently after 20+ years of service.
Ninja blender works best if you need to crush ice or frozen stuff and if you fill it up. I found that for small quantities (1-2 portions) it doesn't work well, it just splashes everything around, makes a huge mess, and you have to open it repeatedly and scrape/mix. It is also a PITA to clean, which is why I end up avoiding to use it. The top cover has many nooks and crannies that you have to scrub (it splashes like crazy, little chunks get everywhere) and the bulky blades are also inconvenient to wash and dry.
If you only make drinks with frozen stuff or ice and don't mind cleaning, it's a good option.
My friend grabbed one from Costco due to the solid reputation, but I was a little shocked by how much plastic it's packing — even the jar. Meanwhile, my 15-year-old Oster from Costco is still blending like it's 2009 when I rocked Von Dutch and Affliction tees, and I can swap the blades for cheap. Some of these Ninjas brag about being "smart," but I just want a durable dumb blender that gets the job done.
