I had to use customer service chat. They told me this offer only works for new customers. I said, why does the Terms & Conditions on the Holiday offer page say "Offer is available only to Audible.com consumers who are not existing Audible members"? How can you be an Audible.com consumer if you've never used the service before?
They added the promo to my account manually.

Edit: For the heck of it, I tried contacting chat. As with others, they gladly signed me up for a 3 month trial. Then on my account page, there was a button to click to activate an offer for $15 if I redeem 3 credits by Feb 2. While I was waiting for chat, I researched how much money the author/narrator get for promo purchases. They basically get nothing. Maybe I'll pay for some months at full price to make up for all the free/cheap ones I've collected.
Also Goblet of Fire comes out February 10th. So maybe I should wait until later in the month to sign up, so I still have enough days left on the subscription to actually listen to it?

I haven't looked into it but highly doubt the new HP books with the full cast are included in the monthly subscription, so you'll have to buy/redeem one of your credit for the book. With this promo, you'll get one credit a month, so basically 3 audiobooks worth.
Once your trial/subscription is over, you keep the books you bought (whether with cash or the monthly credit). Hope that helps! Feel free to ask any other questions you've got!
