Here's how I would've done The Beast. I saw the first two episodes and I'm making everything else up. Aggie had great success with her first book but can't follow it up. She lives in seclusion in a small town in NY. She's very depressed and the advance checks have stopped coming in. A mob guy learns of her situation and moves next door to Aggie because he wants her to write his life story. The most important thing to him is his reputation and Aggie can set the record straight and tell everybody that he's not really such a bad guy (because he's going to trick Aggie into believing it). Aggie doesn't want to do it but she needs the money. She tells him about herself at lunch and the mob guy kills the guy who killed her son in a DUI. Aggie confronts the mob guy. The mob guy denies that he had anything to do with it but Aggie has her doubts. Time moves on and Aggie puts her doubts to rest and they become better friends. Aggie finally agrees to write the book and the mob guy tells her a bunch of lies. Aggie does some research and realizes that the mob guy is lying. Unfortunately, the mob guys that Aggie is going to expose find out about it and are out to kill Aggie and her neighbor. There's a big confrontation at Aggie's house and her neighbor unexpectedly saves Aggie's life but dies in the process. Fast forward 6 months. Aggie has finished the book with all of the lies and it's a #1 bestseller. She has her life back and she was able to give her neighbor redemption.

Here's an English question. In this sentence

Unfortunately, the mob guys that Aggie is going to expose find out...

AI is telling me that mob guys is the subject and I should use are instead of is. Isn't Aggie the subject of the prepositional phrase and is is correct? It's been a long time since I've been in school lol.

"Is" is correct. Cannot say Aggie are.

Welcome. To show you how bad AI can be, I did a search on my phone the other day for "What is the date of the first Saturday in December 2025?" AI answered me that "The first Saturday in December 2025 is Wednesday, December 3." 😂😂😂

CVS is going to use AI to run Aetna. I can just see it now. Sir, your surgery is scheduled for Wednesday, Dec 3. Report to the hospital at 8 am on Saturday, Dec 6 for your pre-op prep.

Season 2 of Landman is out but I'm going to wait for all of the episodes to drop and then binge watch it. Season 1 of Landman was very good except for his wife, daughter, and taking the seniors to the strip club. It was like I was watching 2 shows - one was about oil and the other was about hot blondes to get ratings. I also enjoyed The Mayor of Kingston and Tulsa King (with Sylvester Stallone) but Yellowstone, 1923, and 1883 were disasters. There was no hope for Yellowstone but 1923 and 1883 could've been good. Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren were boring in 1923 and I couldn't get past the narrator in 1883.

There's a new season of Doc. I saw the first season but I'm not sure that I'm in for the second one. It's hard to get past a doctor with amnesia being able to see patients. I tried to watch Saving Hope but only lasted a couple of episodes. The doctor being outside of his body wasn't working for me. Also, I doubt that his fiancée would've been allowed to see patients considering what was going on.

While I'm at it, why is Justified considered a western by some people? Because Timothy Olyphant wears a cowboy hat? Gunsmoke and Bonanza are westerns. Justified is contemporary police show set in Kentucky.

Lincoln Lawyer is fantastic and Michael Connelly is one of my favorite authors.

Mobland got great reviews but for some reason I couldn't get into it. It wasn't because of Helen Mirren lol. I forget what my issue was but I only lasted about 10 minutes.

Hulu has the first 20 seasons of Law and Order. I forgot how good the early seasons were. Briscoe is one of my favorite characters of all-time and Adam Schiff (the DA) has such a dry sense of humor. There's one scene where Schiff is talking with McCoy. The defendant just got the death penalty and the conversation went something like this

Schiff: Well, we went from a murder to an execution. Great job, Jack. Take the rest of the week off.
Jack: But it's Friday.
Schiff: Ok, I'll see you on Monday.

I watched the first press conference and face off with Jake Paul and Anthony Joshua. Jake Paul looked like he needs to spend more time in the gym while Anthony Joshua looked massive and ready to go. Joshua is so much bigger than Paul. It was like Lebron facing off against Danny DeVito. Jake Paul predicted a 4th round ko of Joshua. He's nuts. Joshua by 1st round ko and they'll have to carry Jake Paul off in a stretcher.

Benavidez vs Yarde is happening tomorrow. I'm excited about Norman vs Haney in the co-main event. I've got Norman (Haney is the champ). I don't know anything about Yarde so I can't predict the main event.

Arman headbutted Hooker in the face-offs for UFC Qatar. A totally classless move but I still have Arman winning. I've got Belal over Garry in the co-main but I may have this one wrong. It depends on if Belal still has it. If he fights Garry like he fought JDM in his last fight, then Garry will knock him out.

The UFC Qatar card just ended. I was right on Arman but wrong on Belal. Belal couldn't get anything going and lost every round. Garry looked good but he needed a ko to get a title shot. Morales should fight Islam next. Garry eye poked Belal twice. The first one was right when the fight started. I thought that the UFC was going to crack down on eye pokes. They might as well make them legal if there isn't a consequence but it wouldn't have mattered in this fight since Belal would've lost even if they gave him 2 points. Arman's fight went as expected. I would like to see Arman fight Topuria for the title but Arman shouldn't have headbutted Dan Hooker on Friday so I think he blew his chance.
