Vons has really jumped the shark over the last few months. There used to be a lot of deals on things that I was interested in but now there's nothing. Their prices are crazy. A 4-pack of Kraft macaroni cups is now $9.99. I'm not kidding - $9.99. Those macaroni cups aren't even any good. Maybe if it's 2 am and you have the munchies but it's sad if a Kraft macaroni cup is the best snack you've got. I got some Red Vines yesterday. Now that's a snack. Not healthy but I haven't them for ages and they tasted great.

My month on Netflix is almost up. I think I'm going to bail. There are too many bad shows to go thru in order to find a good one. Netflix needs to focus on higher quality rather than offering up a bunch of junk. I'm thinking that I'll go to Hulu and finish up Line of Duty. I need to watch Seasons 5 and 6. I have no idea why Netflix only has Seasons 1 thru 4.

Funniest comment of the week (from a YT comment about JDM before his fight with Islam on Saturday night at Madison Square Grden)

This hasn't been a good year for the UFC. A lot of bad cards and then the heavyweight mess. We finally have an excellent card. I hope that the two championship fights live up to expectations. I've got Valentina in the women's fight but it should be razor close. In the men's fight, it's crazy that Islam is such a big favorite. JDM is undefeated in the UFC and the current welterweight champ. Islam is also undefeated in the UFC and moving up 15 pounds to fight JDM. Islam was the lightweight champ but gave up the belt to take this fight. Islam is favored by more than 2 to 1 odds. I think it's an even fight and I give the slight nod to JDM but Islam certainly can win.

I'll shorten my rant. If you read the posts on Reddit, the CVS employees hate their customers and think that everybody who shops there is stupid. They make fun of customers when they ask a question. I have to wonder why people like this work in retail. They hate the company they work for and they hate the customers who shop there and, of course, it's everybody else's fault. Ok, rant over.

In the Year 2525 by Zager and Evans (I looked it up). It was a #1 song in 1969. There's a video on YT that's beyond creepy. I remember hearing the song back in 1969 but I didn't pay attention to the lyrics. It's definitely a creepy song especially when you see the video.

There's a song by Gun called Race with the Devil that's very creepy. It's based on a catchy hard rock riff and the guy has a nervous breakdown during the song. It came out in 1968 and 2525 and Bayou came out in 1969. Maybe the late 60's was the time for creepy songs.

They're trying to make a Jake Paul vs Anthony Joshua fight on Netflix in December. I can't believe that Jake Paul is actually going to do this. Didn't he see what Anthony Joshua did to Francis Ngannou (the UFC heavyweight champ coming off a close fight with Tyson Fury)? It was a brutal knockout that had Ngannou out cold and it'll be much worse for Jake Paul (unless the fight is fixed). I'll give Jake Paul credit if he takes the fight but it's suicide.

I'm blown away by the thought of Jake Paul going up against Anthony Joshua. Joshua is no joke. He's a 2-time heavyweight champ who knocked out Francis Ngannou. The odds of Jake Paul surviving the fight are probably 1000 to 1.

Eubank vs Benn on Saturday and Haney vs Norman on the 22nd. I'm looking forward to the Haney vs Norman fight. These guys don't like each other and it should be a banger
(depending on if Haney wants to fight or run).

We finally have rain in Los Angeles! We always seem to get a storm around Black Friday. They say that we're going to get heavy flooding over the next 3 days and there's already a mini-river going down the street. I wanted to get out my boogie board and go sewer surfing (not really). I made it walking to Vons but I was going to get soaked if I went to 7-11 for coffee. I'm not used to rain. We haven't had it in a long time. The rain drops were hurting my head. I know, I'm a lightweight. We never have weather in California lol.

Does anybody have any shopping plans for Black Friday? I'm staying home. This will be the first time in 20 years that I haven't gone shipping. Is there a good football game that I should watch? I haven't been keeping up this year. I follow UFC and boxing but I'll watch just about anything in sports if it's exciting.

I have Sanit Denis, Leon, Morales, Valentina, and JDM for tomorrow night. I know it's a good card when I'm only confident on one pick. Dariush missed weight and Saint Denis looked good in his last fight so I have to take Saint Denis. I'm most likely to be wrong on the last 2 fights. I wouldn't be surprised if Weili and Islam won. Prates can win if he catches Leon with one of his ko punches and I may be underestimating Brady or overestimating Morales. If Morales wins impressively, he could be a huge star. I don't bet, I watch for fun.

I just finished Season 3 of Dehli Crime on Netflix. This may be the best tv series that I've ever seen. Season 3 explores missing women in India. Almost 3 million women went missing in 2022.
