There's no steelbook, that was for preorders when it came out.

Just finished Metaphor: Refantazio - and thought I give this one a try -- any idea if its as engaging / good as Metaphor? I am familiar with FFVII in general but not a fanboy.

If Metaphor is a 10/10 then Rebirth is an 9/10. Highly recommend playing through remake part 1 if you haven't done so already.

The main story of Rebirth feels unfocused for 80% of the game until things ramp up nears the end. But very engaging world, sidequests, and incredible combat.

I was hoping this would reach a price point of $30 or less this holiday season. Don't care for any exclusive retailer specific bonuses like controller cover or steelbooks. I recall Final Fantasy XV and 7 remake both dropped to sub-$25 price points during the holiday season following their releases. Will wait it out until 2025 if I have to, considering I have a backlog of other games to play in the interim.

It's my biggest gaming disappointment of the year. To me Remake was a 10/10. This misses the mark super hard. I dropped it after about 40 hours of the story going almost nowhere at all. Mini-games on top of mini-games.
